Are you nervous going to the dentist’s office? You’re certainly not alone! It’s a common fear. It can be an impersonal experience, noisy, jarring, and sometimes painful!
Dr. Nichole DeMars is trained in sedation dentistry, which uses very mild therapies for pain and anxiety, but they’re very effective. Nitrous oxide, or “laughing gas”, helps to calm you down while you’re in the dental chair, but also acts as a mild analgesic to minimize any pain you might be feeling.
Dr. DeMars can also prescribe a mild oral sedative, which is a little pill you take before you arrive. Both the pill and the nitrous oxide can help break that cycle of panic.
Not seeing a dentist can lead to many other health issues. Don’t let your dental fears jeopardize your oral health and overall well-being. At Long Grove Dental Studio, we understand the fear associated with visiting a dentist, which is why we have created an environment that’s calm and soothing with a staff that is friendly and attentive. We strive to make your experience pleasant and comfortable from the moment you walk in our door to the moment you leave.
